Mijn naam is David van Rhede van der Kloot. Mijn achtergrond is niet die van een consultant. Ik heb gewerkt bij Cargill, Svitzer, ERIKS en SHV Energy, in commerciële en operationele rollen, in Nederland, Frankrijk, de Verenigde Staten en Brazilië. Niet als adviseur die aanbevelingen aflevert en weer vertrekt, maar als iemand die verantwoordelijk was voor wat er werkelijk moest gebeuren.

My name is David van Rhede van der Kloot. My background is not that of a consultant. I have worked at Cargill, Svitzer, ERIKS and SHV Energy, in commercial and operational roles, across the Netherlands, France, the United States and Brazil. Not as an advisor who delivers recommendations and leaves, but as someone responsible for what actually had to happen.

Mijn opleiding ligt in finance, aangevuld met een data analytics-specialisatie aan IE Business School in Madrid. Die combinatie van analytische rigor en operationele realiteit is wat een diagnose die goed klinkt onderscheidt van een diagnose die werkelijk standhoudt.

My educational foundation is in finance, complemented by a data analytics specialization at IE Business School in Madrid. That combination of analytical rigor and operational reality is what separates a diagnosis that sounds right from one that actually holds up.

De internationale carrière voegde nog iets anders toe. Werken in verschillende culturen, in Nederlands, Engels, Frans en Portugees, leerde mij een organisatie snel te lezen, ongeacht taal, sector of bedrijfsgrootte. Wat ik in al die contexten zag, was steeds hetzelfde patroon: goede mensen, heldere ambities, en een hardnekkige kloof tussen wat de organisatie beoogde en wat er werkelijk op de vloer landde.

The international career added something else entirely. Working across cultures, in Dutch, English, French and Portuguese, taught me how to read an organization fast, regardless of language, sector or company size. What I saw across all those contexts was the same pattern, every time: good people, clear ambitions, and a persistent gap between what the organization intended and what actually landed on the floor.

Dat patroon heeft een naam: executiefalen, met een oorzaak die niets met mensen te maken heeft. Het komt voort uit structuur. Richting die geen keuzes afdwingt. Geen vroege zichtbaarheid op afwijkingen. Eigenaarschap dat niet verankerd is. Opvolging die instort zodra de agenda verder schuift.

That pattern has a name: execution failure, with a cause that has nothing to do with people. It comes from structure. Direction that does not force choices. No early visibility on deviations. Ownership that is not anchored. Follow-through that collapses the moment the agenda moves on.

Die herkenning is het fundament van Exigência. Een methodiek gebouwd uit praktijk, niet uit literatuur, ontworpen om die structurele gaten te sluiten op elk niveau van de organisatie.
